If you’re looking for a great wine-tasting opportunity in San Francisco, check out the SF Vintners Market, March 11 and 12 at Fort Mason. Author Andy Hyman will be signing his book, Snob Free Wine Tasting Companion, Wine Smart in a Day, Napa & Sonoma Edition, at the WhichWinery booth there. (To get 50% off discount tickets for the SF Vintners Market, sign on to the WhichWinery Facebook page.)
SF Vintners Market connects vintners and buyers, helping small winemakers market their wines direct to consumer. Since 2010, San Francisco Vintners Market has been “bringing the tasting room to San Francisco,” and soon to other cities too.
Andy Hyman, as a tour guide for Platypus Tours, has escorted thousands of guests to wineries in Napa and Sonoma and frequently gets five-star ratings on TripAdvisor. Unlike many books about wine, Hyman says this one is “edutaining”; it is a quick read, has a light touch and giving readers just what they need to delight in their wine tasting experiences. Snob Free Wine Tasting Companion is featured at over 80 wineries, hotels, bookstores and retailers in the Napa, Sonoma and greater Bay Area.
The book has received awards from the Bay Area Independent Publishers Association and the National Association of Book Entrepreneurs and has been featured in U.S. News and World Report, Sonoma Magazine, The Press Democrat, North Bay Biz and the Marin Independent Journal.
Hyman has been involved in education issues for 22 years in Marin County as a volunteer and was recently honored with the Golden Bell award for his years of services as a school board member. He has been an entrepreneur, business manager and teacher.
